Tango Lesson Levels
Tango Basics
Complete Beginners (1): Perfect for anyone new to tango, regardless of prior dance experience. These classes focus on basic steps, fundamental rhythms & introductory techniques to start your tango journey.
Beginners (2): Designed for those with 2 to 4 months of tango experience, as well as more experienced dancers interested in learning our specific techniques and concepts. This level builds on the basics, introducing more refined movements and simple variations.
Tango Enhancement
Improvers (3): Suitable for dancers with 5 or more months of experience. These classes enhance technique & expand your repertoire with intermediate steps & patterns.
Intermediate (4): Ideal for dancers with 1 or more years of experience. Focuses on mastering more complex figures, improving connection & expression & refining overall dance quality.
Tango Masterclass
Advanced (5): For experienced dancers with a high level of proficiency. Concentrates on sophisticated choreography, intricate styling & advanced techniques, often including preparation for competitive or performance settings.
Advanced Tango Techniques
Technique Classes (6): Open to all skill levels. These classes are dedicated to refining the technical aspects of tango, such as posture, balance & precision. They provide valuable practice for dancers at any stage of their tango journey.
Tango Basics
Our beginner classes provide a solid foundation in the fundamental techniques, footwork & partner connection that define Argentine Tango. These classes are designed to be accessible to individuals with no prior dance experience, ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone. Participants will learn the basic steps, social dance etiquette & gain an understanding of the cultural & historical aspects that enrich the Argentine Tango tradition.
Tango Enhancement
As dancers progress, our intermediate classes offer an exploration of the dance form, deepening the connection between partners & focusing on the subtleties that make Argentine Tango unique. Building upon the foundational skills from the beginner sessions, these classes introduce intricate footwork variations, partner communication & the development of a seamless flow that characterises Salon Tango. Dancers are guided through sequences that challenge them to embrace the evolving complexity of the dance while maintaining fluidity. Emphasis is placed on musicality, expression & improvisation, encouraging dancers to explore their individual style.
Tango Masterclass
Our advanced Stage Tango classes are for dancers looking to increase their skills to a professional level. These sessions focus on the dynamic & expressive elements of Stage Tango, including intricate choreography, dramatic movements & storytelling through dance. Dancers will learn to embody the theatricality of Stage Tango, refining techniques, mastering complex footwork & developing a strong stage presence. Emphasis is on musical interpretation & creative choreography, allowing dancers to showcase their unique style. Personalised feedback is provided to enhance performance quality.
Advanced Tango Techniques
Designed for dancers of all levels, our Tango Technique Classes focus on the technical aspects of tango, including posture, balance & precision in movement. These classes are dedicated to perfecting the fundamentals that are crucial for all tango dancers, offering a valuable opportunity to refine your skills & dance proficiency.
GROUP TANGO LESSONS
Pay as you go rate (casual), per person is $25. This can be purchased on the day of class. This is for all regular group classes held weekly. (This price doesn’t include workshops or special classes that maybe run throughout the year)

Dual Class Option
For those interested in taking back-to-back lessons (when available), we offer a casual drop-in dual lesson option for $40. This allows you to attend two consecutive group lessons at a discounted combined rate, maximising your learning experience in a single visit.
After Class Practica
On days when there is an after-class practica, you are welcome to join at no additional cost if you have attended one of our classes. Otherwise, the fee to participate is $10. You can expect at least 1 hour of practica on most days when it's offered. This provides a great opportunity to practice what you've learned in class and socialise with other students.
